The toolbar has many of the same features as the control panel, and can provide a complete set of operating tools. Here is a typical toolbar:
Track Tools: selects tool for
drawing track. This button is available only in TrackLayer.
Inspector: brings up multi-tab
dialog showing properties of current layout, train, etc.
Customize: brings up panel of
buttons and tools for modifying your toolbar. Drag and drop items from
the Customize panel on or off this toolbar.
Stop button
: stops the train.
Reverse button
: reverses the
direction of travel.
Uncouple
: uncouples at the pin
position.
Throttle (speed
slider): controls train speed and possibly direction. In normal mode, zero is at the
left; slide to the right to increase speed. When yard mode is enabled, zero is in the middle; slide right to increase
speed in the forward direction, or to the left to increase speed in reverse.
Speed display: shows the speed
in MPH.
Train window: displays the current
train, permits car selection and editing. This item in the Customize
panel appears as an empty window; once dragged to the toolbar, it shows the
selected train.
Train Cars: drop-down for
selecting cars to add to the train. Choose a car from this menu, and it will
insert into the selected train at the pin position.
