   Bob Prondzinski's Wabeno Timberline Railroad

The Wabeno Timberline is a multi-scale, multi-level layout by Robert Prondzinski of Lindenhurst, Illinois.  It was presented to us in the form of an operating schematic.  This page shows all the parts and how they fit together.

The diagrams were generated by Train Controller, a popular product for running actual layouts from Railroad & Co.

The TrainPlayer version comes with ten files, all interconnected.  Open Wabeno_Main as the starting point -- it's the overview diagram, with a little length of invisible track to take you into the railroad.  Start the train and enjoy the ride.  Switches have not been set in any particular way, so a full ride is not guaranteed unless you participate.

Note: angles are steep in these plans, and you may have trouble throwing switches.  If so, reduce the "Minimum Angle To Open" setting (File Preferences > Switches) to 130 or below.

1 - Hobbitville - Has 3 layers that connect with left side of "Main layout" module - (N Scale)

2 - Bottom Level - this is an independent layout sitting behind the "Main layout" module - (N Scale)
2 - Middle Level - this is an independent layout sitting above the "Bottom Level" midway up the mountains - (Z Scale)
2 - Top Level - this is an independent layout sitting above the "Middle Level" near the top of the mountains - (Z Scale)

3 - Main Layout - "Hobbitville" module is attached to the left side,  and "Beer Town" module is attached and right side - (N Scale)

4 - Beer Town - "Main layout" attached to front left side, "Emerald City" module attached to front  right side - (N Scale)

5 - Emerald City - "Beer Town" module attached aa top left, "Dianeville" attached to right side of module - (N Scale)

6 - Dianeville - Unit 6 - "Emerald City" module attached at front left of this module - (N Scale)

Module 2 consists of three independent layouts that can run six trains (two trains per Level in simple loops).  This module is used mainly to run a few trains in the background mountain scene while I operate the Main layout and it's appropriate attached modules.
