What's New

Car Collections

Imagine a case on the wall with every piece of rolling stock you'll ever need, where you can take as many as you want and the shelves never become empty!  In TrainPlayer 2.2, this magic case is called the Car Chooser.  You can call it up whenever you add a new car to the layout, then just browse through the collections and click the car you want.

Car collections supplied with 2.2 include the Colorado Narrow Gauge by Bruce Bates, some Amtrak cars from the TrainPlayer Student Art Dept, and a gorgeous set of AT&SF cars (see picture below) which is a tiny sample of the vast set of "train gifs" available on the web.  Tools are provided for building your own collection of gifs, and other full sets are available for download.  Side and top images can be edited in your favorite bitmap editor, so you can create, recolor, decorate, or kitbash to suit.

Printing

With Version 2.2, you can finally print your layout to hard copy.  The printout can include background, track, grid, switches, and/or cars.  TrainPlayer does the scaling.  Print Preview is available too.
