Tired of Windows flags and flying toasters?
Fill your screen with railroads! Follow a train as it meanders
across your desktop, through the countryside, past the freight
yards, under the mountain passes. Steam lazily through an
ever-changing series of views covering model railroad layouts of all
kinds.
Enjoy
every one of Linn Westcott's classic 101 Track Plans for Model
Railroaders, the best-selling track plan book of all time.
Industrial yards, logging roads, switchback mountain railways -- Linn's
charming hand-drawn plans stir the imagination of any railroader. Choose
from hundreds more fascinating layouts on the TrainPlayer web site. The
screen saver moves smoothly and randomly from one to another, throughout
your entire collection.
Don't
like the route your train is taking? Press a key to throw the
switch! This is no ordinary screen saver -- you don't just sit and
watch, you use the keyboard to set speed and direction, throw switches,
change the view, jump to another layout, change display settings, and
more. One click takes it all down when the boss walks by.
You control the pace of the show, the content, and all
sorts of display preferences. Choose the layouts you want to see
or not see. Choose fully automatic operation or manual
intervention. Choose background colors, layout transition rate,
and more. Choose the starting layout and build the train you want
to ride.
A screen saver may not serve a critically vital
function, but that doesn't make it lightweight technically. The
TrainPlayer Screen Saver features a state-of-the-art graphics
engine designed for smooth operation, auto-scrolling, and
unlimited zooming.
To use screen saver, you must first activate it
